About Us

100% Athens Renewable Energy Initiative is a grassroots coalition for the just and equitable transition of Athens, Georgia, USA to 100% clean and renewable energy by 2035.  Equitable policies and measures for transitioning to a renewable energy economy prioritize meeting the actual and anticipated needs of marginalized and disenfranchised groups in our county, so that the whole community is made resilient and ready for climate change,
while participating in its solutions.
